Waldorf salad
A classic salad dish, crunchy walnuts, fresh apple and creamy mayonnaise are tossed to create a flavour sensation with every bite,

Ingredients
Waldorf salad
- 3 celery sticks, cut into 1cm pieces
- 1 medium red apple, thinly sliced
- 1 medium green apple, thinly sliced
- 1 baby cos lettuce, cut into 3cm lengths
- 100 gram jarlsberg cheese, finely chopped
- 2/3 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped, toasted
- 1/2 cup low-fat natural yoghurt
- 2 tablespoon egg mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon finely chopped chives
- 8 medium slices sourdough bread, toasted
Method
Waldorf salad
- 1Place celery, apple, lettuce, cheese and walnuts in a large bowl. Toss to combine.
- 2Combine yoghurt, mayonnaise, juice and chives in a small bowl. Whisk to combine. Season.
- 3Pour dressing over salad. Toss to lightly coat lettuce. Serve with toast.
