Ingredients

Turkey burgers
  • 500 gram turkey breast, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 8 slice swiss cheese
  • 1 turkish loaf, split, cut into 8 pieces
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 100 gram packet snow pea sprouts

Method

    In a bowl, combine turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, egg and garlic. Mix well using clean hands; season to taste.

    Divide mixture into 8 even-sized flattened patties. Arrange on a tray; chill until required.

    Heat oil in a large frying pan on medium. Cook patties, in two batches, 5-6 minutes each batch. Turn and top each with a cheese slice. Cook a further 5-6 minutes; drain on paper towel.

    Spread half the bread with sauce. Fill with patties and sprouts. Top each with a piece of remaining bread.
