Triple chocolate shake

Using melted dark chocolate, cocoa and brownie in the topping gives this shake all the richness a real chocolate lover craves.

Triple chocolate
  • 100 millilitre cream, plus extra for topping
  • 75 gram dark chocolate, chopped into chunks
  • 300 millilitre ice-cold milk
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 piece store-bought chocolate brownie, crumbled, to serve
  • whipped cream, to serve

    Heat the cream in a small saucepan. When it begins to tremble, take it off the heat. Add the chocolate chunks and cover with a tea towel.

    Add the milk, cocoa and brown sugar (to taste) to your blender, then combine until smooth and frothy.

    Whisk the chocolate and cream together until smooth. Add this to the milk mixture, reserving a small amount to drizzle on top. Blend briefly.

    Pour into glasses. Top with crumbled brownie and whipped cream.
