Ingredients
Toasted cheese and ham scrolls
- 125 gram cream cheese, softened or at room temperature
- 1/2 packet bacon and onion soup mix
- 12 slice bread, crusts removed
- 12 slice shaved ham
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup grated pizza cheese
Method
- 1Preheat the oven to 190°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 2Combine cream cheese and soup mix to make a smooth paste. Spread bread generously with the cream cheese mix, top with a ham slice and roll up from the long side to make a log.
- 3Arrange scrolls on the tray, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and toasted.
Notes
These toasted scrolls will go down a treat with little and big partygoers. Thin slices of salami instead of ham work well too. The melted butter gives them a golden, toasted colour but use spray oil if you prefer.
