Method
1.Trim icing from cakes and discard. Brush cut side of cakes with liqueur.
2.In a bowl, using an electric mixer, beat cream and vanilla until soft peaks. Pile half the cream on top of one cake. Top with remaining cake.
3.In a small bowl, combine Nutella and milk until smooth (add a little more milk if mixture is still thick).
4.Top cake with remaining cream and cherries, then drizzle with Nutella sauce. Serve with chocolate shards.
