Spiced orange and Cointreau cheesecakes

Served in individual glasses, these spiced orange and Cointreau cheesecakes combine subtle citrus flavours with spice and creamy filling

Ingredients

  • 125 gram malt biscuits, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 50 gram melted butter
  • 250 gram cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 250 gram sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 4 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon Cointreau

Method

    Mix biscuit crumbs, spice and butter and divide between 4 glasses, pressing down to cover the base. Chill.

    Beat cream cheese and caster sugar until smooth, then add the sour cream, cardamom, ginger, orange zest and Cointreau. Spoon cheesecake mixture over the biscuit base and chill for at least 2 hours.

    To garnish, combine maple syrup and orange zest to spoon over desserts just before serving.
