Spiced mixed nuts with paprika and honey

Nici Wickes' spiced nuts recipe creates such a scrumptious snack that's perfect for sharing. These oh-so-moreish treats are savoury yet sweet and can easily whipped up in less than an hour.

  • 50 gram unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sweet smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoon quality sea salt
  • 1 kilogram mix of almonds, peanuts, cashew and Brazil nuts
  • 3 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoon poppy seeds

    Preheat oven to 180ºC. Line a large roasting dish with baking paper. Add the butter and honey, and put in the oven until both are melted. Stir in the paprika. Pour in the nuts and seeds, tossing to coat. Roast for 20-30 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes or so.

    Leave to cool completely before scooping into jars.
