Spiced lamb Turkish pizza
Using Turkish bread as a pizza base makes this a super-speedy meal. Perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients
Spiced lamb turkish pizza
- 1 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 carrot, peeled and grated
- 500 gram lamb mince (see tip)
- 4 clove garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- sea salt
- 1 Turkish pide, halved horizontally
- 100 gram baby spinach leaves
- 3 cup grated mozzarella
- lemon wedges, to serve
Method
- 1Preheat oven to 220°C. Heat the oil in a frying pan over high heat and add chopped onion and grated carrot. Fry gently for 4 minutes.
- 2Add lamb mince and cook for 3 minutes to brown well. Add garlic, allspice and cumin and cook for a further 2 minutes until the mince is almost cooked through. Season with sea salt and cracked black pepper and remove from heat.
- 3Place bread halves on a lined baking tray cut side up. Spoon the lamb mixture over the bread and top with spinach and mozzarella (see tip).
- 4Bake for 15 minutes until bread is crisp and cheese bubbling and golden.
- 5Cut into portions and serve with the lemon wedges.
