1.Cook spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling salted water, following packet instructions, until al dente. Add broccoli to cooking water 2 minutes before end of cooking time. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup cooking water.
2.Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frying pan on medium. Saute garlic and chilli 1-2 minutes, until golden, being careful not to burn.
3.Add broccoli, pasta and reserved water to pan. Toss well. Remove from heat. Toss with parmesan and almonds, and season to taste. Drizzle the spaghetti with a little extra-virgin olive oil and sprinkle with a little extra parmesan before serving.
