Spaghetti bolognese
A dish that is filled with different flavours of your favourite herbs, you can't go wrong with spaghetti bolognese

Ingredients
Spaghetti bolognese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, finely chopped
- 50 gram pancetta, finely chopped
- 2 clove garlic, crushed
- 500 gram beef mince
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 410 gram tomato purée
- 400 gram diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 chopped parsley leaves
- cooked spaghetti
- shaved parmesan
- crusty bread to serve
Method
Spaghetti Bolognese
- 1In a large, heavy-based saucepan, heat oil on high. Sauté onion, celery, carrot, pancetta and garlic for 3 minutes until tender.
- 2Add mince and cook for 4 minutes, breaking up lumps. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
- 3Mix purée, diced tomatoes, wine, bay leaves and dried oregano through mince mixture. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes until thickened, then season.
- 4Stir parsley through, then serve with cooked spaghetti, parmesan and bread.
