Shannon’s easy kids' pizza with mushrooms, ham and cheese

Pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • water to mix
  • 1 tin tomatoes
  • 6 large silverbeet or spinach leaves
  • 2-3 courgettes
  • 6 or more green beans
  • 1/2 cup diced capsicum
  • 6 or more mushrooms, chopped
  • 100 gram ham, diced
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated


Pizza dough recipe

    Mix the dry ingredients with water to make a soft dough.
Pizza sauce recipe

    In a food processor, put in all of the sauce ingredients and pulse. Set aside.
Easy kids' pizza recipe

    Preheat oven to 250°C. Take one-third of the dough and roll very thinly onto a floured surface. Put on an oven tray.

    Spread with one-third of the tomato sauce, then one-third of the capsicum, mushrooms and ham. Sprinkle ½ cup cheese on top.

    Cook for about 10 minutes. Repeat with the rest of the dough. Keep a watch while the pizza bakes. It is ready when the cheese is sizzling and the base is cooked – about 15 minutes. Making three separate pizzas is easier to handle than one large one.


  • Makes 3 dinner plate size pies. - The sauce is very handy to have and it freezes well should you want to double it. It can be stirred through pasta too. - This is easy for children to make and cooking for the family gives them so much satisfaction.
