Ingredients
Rich caramel sauce
- 1 cup (220g) caster (superfine) sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 300 millilitre thickened (heavy) cream
Method
Rich caramel sauce
- 1Stir sugar and water in a small saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves.
- 2Boil, uncovered, without stirring, for 15 minutes or until mixture turns a caramel colour. Remove from heat; allow bubbles to subside.
- 3Gradually add cream, stirring constantly, over low heat, until sauce is smooth. Cool 10 minutes.
