Method

1.Place garlic, chilli, sugar, sauces and vinegar in a 4.5-litre (18-cup) slow cooker. Stir well to combine; add beef and turn to coat in mixture. Cook, covered, on low, for 8 hours.
2.Carefully remove beef from cooker; shred meat coarsely using two forks.
3.Transfer sauce mixture to a large saucepan, bring to the boil over medium heat. Boil, uncovered, for about 10 minutes or until thickened. Stir in beef.
4.Split rolls in half horizontally. Sandwich beef and sauce mixture between rolls.

Pulled beef, or pork, comes from pulling extremely tender pieces of meat apartĀ­ rather than cutting it into slices usually with two forks, which separates the meat into strands. Low, slow cooking is required to produce meat tender enough to pull apart into pieces.
