Ingredients
Plum and apple chutney
- 1.5 kilogram plums, halved, stoned
- 3 cup (660g) firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 2 cup (500ml) cider vinegar
- 4 granny smith apples, unpeeled, grated
- 2 red onions, finely sliced
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
Method
Plum and apple chutney
- 1Place all ingredients in a large, heavy-based saucepan. Bring to boil and simmer, stirring regularly, 60 minutes, until thick and syrupy. Stir occasionally so mixture does not stick to pan.
- 2Serve with venison.
