Pineapple tarts

These sweetie pies are delicious with a cuppa or served with thick cream for dessert. They'd also be perfect to pack for a picnic.

Ingredients

Method

1.Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2.Cut each pastry sheet into four. Fold in sides to make a 1cm border. Arrange on the prepared tray.
3.Melt butter in a small saucepan on low heat. Add sugar and spice, stirring until sugar dissolves.
4.Arrange pineapple over the pastry. Brush with butter mixture. Sprinkle with almonds.
5.Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Serve warm or cold with thick cream.
