Ingredients

Pineapple jam
  • 1 kilogram peeled, cored, chopped fresh pineapple
  • 2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • croissants, to serve

Method

Pineapple jam

    Combine fruit, sugar and ground cinnamon in a saucepan.
  • 2
    Stir over a low heat, without boiling, for 10 minutes until sugar dissolves.
  • 3
    Bring to the boil on high. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, without stirring, for 20-25 minutes or until setting point is reached.

    Ladle into warm, sterilised jars. When cool, seal and label.
  • 5
    Serve pineapple jam on hot croissants.
