Ingredients

Method

1.Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
2.Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla together, then add the sifted flours and cocoa.
3.Mix in the remaining ingredients and mix well.
4.Roll the mixture into small balls and set out, not too close, as they spread. Flatten with a fork. Press the chocolate buttons on top.
5.Bake for about 10-12 minutes – keep an eye on them and don’t let them get too brown as they can burn quickly.
6.Leave on the trays for a few minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
  • Use lime or lemon zest instead of orange and replace the chocolate with shredded coconut, if preferred.
