Ingredients
Orange and mango granita
- 1 large_piece mango (600g)
- 2 cup (500ml) orange juice
- 1/3 cup (75g) caster (superfine) sugar
Method
Orange and mango granita
- 1Peel and core mango; coarsely chop. Blend or process until smooth.
- 2Combine orange juice and sugar in medium saucepan. Stir, until sugar dissolves. Stir in mango puree.
- 3Pour the mixture into a loaf pan. Cover pan with foil; freeze for 2 hours. Use a fork to scrape and separate the frozen granita mixture. Cover again; freeze for 6 hours or until the granita is firm.
- 4Stand granita 10 minutes. Scrape the granita; spoon the shavings into chilled serving bowls.
Notes
dairy-free gluten-free wheat-free egg-free nut-free If you have any leftover granita, leave it in the pan and cover it with foil before putting it back in the freezer. You may need to scrape the mixture with a fork again when you are ready to eat it.
