Orange and dark chocolate Christmas cake

No Christmas is complete without a Christmas cake! This tasty orange and dark chocolate Christmas cake recipe is dense, moist and loaded with delicious fruit. Give it a go this festive season!

  • basic cake mix (see recipe below)
  • 1/2 cup halved macadamias
  • icing sugar, to serve

    Preheat oven to moderately slow, 160°C.

    Lightly grease and double- line a deep 20cm round cake pan with baking paper. Spoon mixture into pan, smoothing the top.

    Cover with halved macadamias.

    Bake for 3 hours (cover with foil if getting too brown) until cooked when tested. Cool. Dust with icing sugar to serve.
