Nutty fudge slice
This is a brilliant one-pot mix and the results are scrumptious! The nutty caramel flavours work well with coffee, or you can wrap them individually to give away to guests as they leave.

Ingredients
- 140 gram butter
- 2 tablespoon golden syrup
- 395 gram can condensed milk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 packet plain biscuits, roughly crushed
- 1 cup chopped nuts, such as pistachios, pecans, walnuts or almonds
- 100 gram milk chocolate, chopped
Method
- 1In a large saucepan, combine butter, golden syrup, condensed milk and sugar. Heat slowly until butter has melted. Increase heat and simmer, stirring constantly for 3-5 minutes until thickened and golden. Remove from the heat and stir in the crushed biscuits and three-quarters of the nuts. Add three-quarters of the chopped chocolate.
- 2Pour mixture into a lined 27cm by 18cm slice tin and smooth the top. Sprinkle with the remaining nuts and chocolate, and press in lightly.
- 3Cool for 20 minutes, then chill overnight or until firm.
- 4Cut into small rectangles to serve. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
