Ingredients
Icing
- 1 cup icing sugar, sifted
- 2 tablespoon cocoa powder, sifted
- 1 tablespoon milk, warmed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Nut crunch slice
- 150 gram butter or margarine, chopped
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 250 gram packet morning coffee biscuits, finely crushed
- 1/2 cup crushed nuts
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder, sifted
Method
Nut crunch slice
- 1Lightly grease a 20cm square cake pan.
- 2Melt butter in a small saucepan. Stir in sugar and egg over low heat, until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to thicken. Add vanilla and set aside to cool slightly.
- 3In a bowl, combine crushed biscuits, 1/3 cup nuts and cocoa. Stir in cooled butter mixture until well combined. Press firmly into pan. Chill until firm.
- 4To make Icing; in a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Drizzle over slice. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Chill until firm.
