Mummy skewers

These delicious and satisfying mummy skewers are the perfect snacks for this Halloween!

Ingredients

Mummy skewers
  • 16 chipolata sausages
  • 16 small skewers
  • 4 sheets mountain bread
  • tomato sauce, to serve

Method

Mummy skewers

    Preheat oven to moderate, 180C. Line an oven tray with baking paper.
  • 2
    Cook sausages in a large frying pan on medium, 5-6 minutes, turning until browned all over. When cool enough to handle, thread each sausage onto a skewer.

    Cut mountain bread into 5mm lengthways strips. Roughly wrap strips around sausages and arrange on tray.

    Spray with oil. Bake 10-12 minutes, until bread is golden and crisp. Serve with tomato sauce for dipping.

Notes

We used a 680g packet of sausages. If you use decorative skewers, bake the sausages before threading onto skewers.
