Maple-glazed baby carrots
- 30 gram butter
- 750 gram baby carrots
- 2 teaspoon finely grated orange rind
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoon dry white wine
- 2 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped roasted hazelnuts
Method
Maple-glazed baby carrots
- 1Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook carrots until almost tender.
- 2Add orange rind, juice, wine and maple syrup to pan; bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until liquid has almost evaporated and carrots are tender and caramelised.
- 3Serve carrots sprinkled with hazelnuts.
