3 delicious sorbet recipes you can make in an instant

Want freshly-made frozen treats in a flash? These instant sorbet recipes are just what you need. All you need is a few ingredients, a blender and five minutes up your sleeve - and voilà!

Ingredients

Mango & coconut
  • 1 cup frozen mango (fruit or pulp)
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
Blackberry & date
  • 1 cup frozen blackberries
  • 3 dates, soaked in boiling water, then drained
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice and water
Banana, maple & pecan
  • 1 cup chopped and frozen bananas
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans

Method

    For each variation, blend all of the ingredients together until smooth, drizzling in more liquid (coconut milk, water or lemon juice) as needed to get a good consistency.

    Serve immediately or freeze for later, taking it out 15 minutes before serving to let it soften.

Notes

If using berries, a food processor is better than a blender as it keeps the seeds intact and prevents bitterness.
