Jam-packed full of chewy dried fruits, crunchy seeds and whole grains, these homemade muesli bars are the perfect guilt-free snack to make for the whole family.

Home-made muesli bars
- 125 gram olive oil margarine
- 1/3 cup (75g) firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1 1/2 cup (135g) rolled oats
- 1/2 cup (75g) self-raising flour
- 1/2 cup (65g) sweetened, dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup (70g) coarsely chopped, pitted
- dried dates
- 1/2 cup (80g) sultanas
- 1/4 cup (50g) pumpkin seeds
- 2 tablespoon sesame seeds
Method
Home-made muesli bars
- 1Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease a 28cm x 18cm slice pan. Line the base and two long sides with one piece of baking paper.
- 2Stir margarine, sugar and honey in medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- 3Press mixture into the pan and smooth the surface. Bake for about 35 minutes or until golden. Cool in the pan. Cut into bars.
Notes
Muesli bars will keep in an airtight container for up to one week.
