Ham steaks and pineapple

Ingredients
Ham steaks and pineapple
- 60 gram butter
- 4 ham steaks
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 fresh pineapple, peeled, sliced
- roast cherry tomatoes (see notes)
- rocket, chips, to serve
Method
Ham steaks and pineapple
- 1In a large frying pan, melt butter on high. Add ham steaks and cook for 1-2 minutes each side, until beginning to brown. Place on plate.
- 2In the same pan, stir water and sugar. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and add pineapple. Cook for 2-3 minutes each side.
- 3Return ham to pan and cook for a further 1-2 minutes each side. Serve ham steaks topped with pineapple and drizzled with sauce. Accompany with tomatoes, rocket and chips.
Notes
To roast tomatoes, arrange cherry tomatoes in a baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and season to taste. Roast in a moderate oven, 180°C, for 15-20 minutes, until they begin to collapse.
