Ham sandwiches with red cabbage slaw

Simple and colourful, these rolls are perfect for a picnic.

Ingredients

Ham sandwiches
  • 4 bread rolls, split in half
  • 8 slices ham off the bone
Red cabbage slaw
  • 1/4 red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 carrot, peeled and grated
  • 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

Ham sandwiches with red cabbage slaw

    Place sliced ham on bases of bread rolls
  • 2
    Make red cabbage slaw by combining all ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste and toss well.

    Place cabbage slaw on top of ham and replace lids of bread rolls. Tie with string for easy transport, if desired.
