Ham sandwiches with red cabbage slaw
Simple and colourful, these rolls are perfect for a picnic.

Ingredients
Ham sandwiches
- 4 bread rolls, split in half
- 8 slices ham off the bone
Red cabbage slaw
- 1/4 red cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 carrot, peeled and grated
- 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
Ham sandwiches with red cabbage slaw
- 1Place sliced ham on bases of bread rolls
- 2Make red cabbage slaw by combining all ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste and toss well.
- 3Place cabbage slaw on top of ham and replace lids of bread rolls. Tie with string for easy transport, if desired.
