Smoky and charred corn cobs with a sweet Japanese-style sauce.

Ingredients
Grilled corn
- 3 corn cobs (750g), husk removed, halved
- 30 gram butter, melted
- 3 teaspoon japanese soy sauce
- 2 teaspoon mirin
- 1 teaspoon caster sugar
Method
Grilled corn
- 1Boil, steam or microwave corn until tender; drain. Preheat grill.
- 2Place cobs on foil-lined-oven tray.
- 3In a small bowl, combine butter, sauce, mirin and sugar and brush over corn.
- 4Roast corn under grill about 5 minutes, turning and basting regularly with butter mixture. Brush any remaining butter mixture over corn before serving.
