Grilled corn

Smoky and charred corn cobs with a sweet Japanese-style sauce.

Ingredients

Grilled corn
  • 3 corn cobs (750g), husk removed, halved
  • 30 gram butter, melted
  • 3 teaspoon japanese soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon mirin
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar

Method

Grilled corn

    Boil, steam or microwave corn until tender; drain. Preheat grill.

    Place cobs on foil-lined-oven tray.

    In a small bowl, combine butter, sauce, mirin and sugar and brush over corn.
  • 4
    Roast corn under grill about 5 minutes, turning and basting regularly with butter mixture. Brush any remaining butter mixture over corn before serving.
