Green pea hummus

Ingredients

Green pea hummus
  • 2 1/2 cup (300g) frozen peas
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 large lemon, juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • salt and pepper, to season
  • ground paprika, to serve
  • toasted turkish bread, to serve
  • lemon wedges, to serve

Method

Green pea hummus
  • 1
    Cook peas according to packet directions, until just tender. Drain and rinse. Drain and pat dry with paper towel.

    Place peas in a food processor with garlic, cumin, lemon juice, olive oil and tahini and puree. Season to taste, adding more lemon juice if needed.

    Spoon puree into a bowl and sprinkle with paprika. Serve with turkish bread and lemon wedges.
