Method

Grandma’s Anzac biscuits

1.Preheat oven to 180°C.
2.Mix flour, sugar, coconut and rolled oats together. Melt butter and golden syrup.
3.Dissolve bicarbonate of soda in the boiling water and add to the hot butter and syrup.
4.Make a well in the centre of the flour and stir in the liquid.
5.Place spoonfuls (40 g each) on a greased tray and pressdown slightly.
6.Bake at 20 minutes; cool on wire rack.
