Freezer-friendly Asian style slow-cooked pork shoulder

Spiked with ginger and soy, this Asian style slow-cooked pork recipe is a winner. Serve with rice and steamed Asian greens or freeze and devour later on for a speedy dinner when you're short on time

Method

1.Preheat oven to moderately slow, 160°C.
2.In a large jug, combine all ingredients except pork. Place pork in a large flameproof casserole dish and pour the sauce over.
3.Bake, covered, for 3 hours, turning every 30 minutes, until very tender. Remove from cooking liquid and cover. Keep warm.
4.Bring cooking liquid to the boil on high. Reduce to medium. Simmer, uncovered, for 10-12 minutes until slightly reduced.
5.Serve pork with rice, steamed Asian greens and sauce.
  • Thaw and serve Asian- style in bao buns.
