1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease a 20cm x 30cm swiss roll pan with baking paper.
2.Combine butter and 200g dark chocolate in a medium saucepan. Stir over-low heat until melted. Cool slightly.
3.Sift flour and cocoa together into a large bowl. Stir in sugar, nuts, Turkish delight, remaining chocolates and cherries. Fold in combined eggs, sour cream and vanilla with butter mixture.
4.Pour into pan. Bake 30-35 minutes, until a skewer inserted comes out with little beads of mixture on it (see tip). Allow to cool in tray before cutting into squares.
Brownies are soft to touch and quite dense when removed from the oven – they firm up upon cooling.
