Creamy chicken and mushroom rigatoni
Pasta is the ultimate comfort food. Wholegrain mustard gives this easy chicken and mushroom dish a flavour boost.

Creamy chicken and mushroom rigatoni
- 375 gram packet rigatoni
- 300 millilitre carton thickened cream
- 2 chicken breasts, chopped
- 2 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
- 200 gram button mushrooms, thinly sliced
Method
Creamy chicken and mushroom rigatoni
- 1Cook rigatoni in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water according to packet instructions. Drain well and return to pan.
- 2Meanwhile, heat a little oil in a large frying pan on high. Cook chicken for 3-4 minutes or until browned. Remove chicken from pan.
- 3Sauteā mushrooms in same greased pan for 3-4 minutes or until tender. Blend in cream and mustard. Return chicken to pan.
- 4Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly and chicken is cooked through. Season to taste.
- 5Toss cream sauce through pasta. Serve topped with parsley, if desired.
Notes
You can use any pasta you prefer. Accompany with salad leaves and crusty bread, if liked.
