Coffee walnut streusel cake
You won't believe this delicious cake has only five ingredients. The moist coffee walnut cake is set off with a crunchy streusel topping.

Coffee cake
- 1 quantity sour cream coffee cake mixture
Walnut Streusel
- 2/3 cup (100g) self-raising flour
- 2/3 cup (150g) firmly packed brown sugar
- 100 gram cold butter, chopped
- 1 cup (120g) coarsely chopped walnuts, toasted
Method
Coffee walnut streusel cake
- 1Preheat the oven to moderate, 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease a 20cm x 30cm lamington pan; line base and two long sides with baking paper.
- 2Prepare cake as for sour cream coffee cake. Spread mixture into prepared pan.
- 3To make walnut streusel, combine flour and sugar in a medium bowl; rub in butter, using fingertips, until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Stir in half the walnuts.
- 4Sprinkle walnut streusel on cake mixture in pan. Sprinkle over remaining walnuts. Bake in a moderate oven for about 30 minutes.
Notes
Suitable to freeze. Not suitable to microwave.
