Cinnamon and berry muesli bars
- 2 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2/3 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/3 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 90 gram margarine
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 100 gram dried cranberries, cherries or blueberries, or mixed berries
Method
Cinnamon and berry muesli bars
- 1Preheat oven to 160°C /140°C fan forced. Grease and line base of a 29cm x 19cm slice pan.
- 2Mix together oats, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and chopped walnuts in a roasting pan. Bake, stirring twice, for 5-10 minutes, until toasted.
- 3Meanwhile, stir margarine, honey and sugar in a pan on medium heat until butter melts. Add oat mixture, cinnamon and dried berries. Mix until well combined. Spoon into prepared pan and press lightly into base. Bake for 30 minutes, until firm. Cool in pan. Cut into 14 bars. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
