Chocolate fudge biscuits

This recipe for homemade chocolate fudge biscuits will please kids (and grown-ups) of all ages. Serve with a tall glass of cold milk - delicious!

Method

1.Preheat oven to moderately slow, 160°C. Lightly grease and line two oven trays with baking paper.
2.In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Beat in chocolate, egg and vanilla until smooth.
3.Sift flour, cocoa and soda together. Fold lightly into creamed mixture to form a soft dough.
4.Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls and arrange on trays 5cm apart to allow for spreading. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden on underside. Cool on trays 5 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
5.Drizzle or pipe white chocolate over cooled cookies. Allow to set at room temperature. Store in an airtight container.
