Chinese turkey kebabs
- 8 turkey chops, cubed, bones removed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
- 3 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chinese five spice
- 8 bamboo skewers, soaked
- 1 red onion, cut into 2cm pieces
- 1 red capsicum, seeded, cubed
- steamed rice, to serve
- asian greens, to serve
Method
Chinese turkey kebabs
- 1Combine turkey in a bowl with sauces, oil and spice. Mix well to coat. Chill, covered, for 30 minutes.
- 2Drain turkey, reserving the marinade. Thread turkey onto skewers with onion and capsicum.
- 3Heat a large frying pan or char-grill on high. Cook kebabs for 6-7 minutes each side until cooked through.
- 4Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, bring reserved marinade to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- 5Serve kebabs with steamed rice and Asian greens. Drizzle with sauce.
