Ingredients

Chia clafoutis with grapes
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 4 eggs, at room temperature, lightly whisked
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 mixed (green and red) seedless grapes, cut in half
To serve
  • icing sugar
  • vanilla icecream

Method

Chia clafoutis with grapes

    Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan forced. Grease a 1.5 litre (6 cup) round shallow ovenproof dish. Place on a baking tray.

    Combine sugar, flour and chia seeds in a bowl. Add egg, egg yolks, milk and vanilla; mix well until combined and smooth. Pour into prepared dish. top with grapes.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and cooked.
To serve

    Dust with icing sugar. Serve with icecream.

DIY idea: Use a combination of grapes and frozen mixed berries
