Ingredients

Method

1.Combine the yeast, warm milk and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside for 5 minutes until frothy.
2.Place the flour and salt in a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Melt half the butter in a small bowl in the microwave. Pour the melted butter into the well with the yeast mixture and yoghurt. Mix well then turn the dough out onto the bench and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
3.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover and put in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until dough has doubled in size.
4.Divide the mixture into 6 balls and roll out on a floured bench. Sprinkle each with cheese and then fold the dough over the cheese and roll again into an elongated disc, making sure the cheese is encased in the dough.
5.Heat a griddle plate, barbecue or grill to a high heat. Melt the remaining butter in the microwave and add the garlic. Cook the naan, brushing with the garlic butter, for a few minutes on each side until puffed and golden. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using, and serve warm.
