Method

1.Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease 20cm-round sandwich pan; sprinkle base of pan with 2 tablespoons of the sugar.
2.Place flours and 1 tablespoon of the remaining sugar in medium bowl; rub in butter. Mash one of the bananas, add to bowl with milk; mix to a soft, sticky dough. Knead dough on floured surface; roll dough to 30cm x 40cm shape.
3.Chop remaining bananas finely. Sprinkle remaining sugar over dough, top with nuts and extra banana.
4.Starting from long side, roll dough tightly; trim ends. Cut roll into 10 slices; place pinwheels, cut-side up, in single layer, in pan.
5.Bake pinwheels about 30 minutes. Serve warm.
