Oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients
Big-choc-chip Oreo cookies
- 185 gram butter, softened
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 265 gram packet Oreo cookies
Method
Big-choc-chip Oreo cookies
- 1Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Line two oven trays with baking paper.
- 2In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugars together until pale. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
- 3Mix in the sifted combined flours, salt and chocolate chips until well combined.
- 4Roll 1/3 cup of dough into a ball, then press an Oreo in the centre. Wrap dough around to enclose. Flatten slightly, then place on oven trays 5cm apart.
- 5Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Cool on trays for 5 minutes before transferring toa wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
