Ingredients

Spinach sesame salad
Tempura

Method

1.In a small bowl, combine sauce and oil. Add chicken, tossing to coat. Chill, covered, for 30 minutes.
2.For spinach sesame salad, place spinach in a bowl. In a small jug, combine sake, soy and oil. Pour over spinach and toss well. Chill until required.
3.Meanwhile make tempura by combining flours and water in a bowl to form lumpy batter. Heat oil in a large saucepan on high, until a little batter sizzles as soon as it is added.
4.Dip prawns into batter to coat, shaking off excess. Deep-fry for 2-3 minutes, turning, until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towel. Season to taste. Keep hot.
5.Heat a medium frying pan on high. Spray with oil. Cook chicken pieces for 3-4, minutes each side, until cooked through. Slice thinly.
6.Divide dishes among 4 bento boxes (or serving plates). Sprinkle salad with sesame seeds, serve chicken on a bed of steamed rice, and tempura with mayonnaise.

Save time by serving fresh pre-made sushi rolls instead of tempura or teriyaki chicken. Slice rolls into 2cm rounds and serve with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger.
