Basic custard biscuit
- 125 gram butter, chopped, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1 1/2 cup Orgran Gluten-Free Self-Raising Flour
- 1/2 cup Orgran Instant Custard Mix
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
Basic custard biscuit
- 1Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease and line 2 oven trays with baking paper.
- 2In a small bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy.
- 3Sift flour and Instant Custard Mix together. Fold in alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Mix to soft dough
- 4Roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls. Arrange on trays, 3cm apart, and press down lightly with a fork.
- 5Bake 12-15 minutes, until golden on underside. Cool on tray for a few minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
