Apple fritters with choc-caramel sauce

These sweet crunchy apple fritters are divine served hot, drizzled with a chocolate caramel sauce and a scoop of cool ice-cream.

Method

1.In a large bowl, whisk flour and combined water and juice together until smooth.
2.To make sauce: In a saucepan, combine all ingredients. Stir over a low heat 4-5 minutes until smooth. Keep warm.
3.Meanwhile, in a large saucepan heat oil on medium.
4.Working in 4 batches, dip apple rings into batter, draining off excess. Gently lower into hot oil. Deep-fry 2-3 minutes, turning, until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towel.
5.Toss hot fritters in combined sugar and cinnamon. Serve fritters hot with choc-caramel sauce.
