Winter dining is often defined by its rich, hearty and comforting dishes - from stews to curries to soups - most of which are cooked slowly and steadily. But it's not always convenient to start cooking dinner three hours beforehand, so we've rounded up our favourite recipes that are well-suited for a chilly winter evening, each of which will be on the table in less than 40 minutes.
