Buttermilk fruit scones
Pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
75 – 80g of ice cold butter
1 ½ cups buttermilk
1 cup dried fruit of your choice (such as crasins, currants, sultanas or diced apricots)
Top tips for making the perfect scone
• Make sure you buy good quality flour.
• Don’t use your hands or a food processor – use a knife to do all the mixing to produce a lighter scone.
