Sweet soy chicken & noodles
Asian-style noodles and chicken with kecap manis, also known as ketjap manis, a dark, thick, sweet soy sauce.

ABC Sweet Soy Sauce, the South East Asian Sauce that gives many dishes not only depth of flavour but authenticity.
ingredients
Sweet soy chicken & noodles
- 250 gram soba noodles
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 2 chicken breast fillets (600g), sliced thinly
- 200 gram sugar snap peas
- 2 tablespoon kecap manis
- 4 green onions, sliced thinly
- 6 red radishes (200g), sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoon finely chopped fresh coriander

Cook noodles in large saucepan of boiling water, uncovered, until just tender; drain. Rinse noodles under hot water; cover to keep warm.

Meanwhile, heat half the oil in wok; stir-fry chicken, in batches, until tender. Remove from wok. Heat remaining oil in wok, add peas; stir-fry until just tender. Return chicken to wok with sauce, onion and radish; cook, stirring, until hot.

Combine noodles and coriander in large bowl; serve topped with chicken mixture.

- ABC Sweet Soy Sauce uses exotic ingredients such as palm sugar indigenous to the tropical islands of Java. - Depending on the brand of kecap manis, the soy's sweetness is derived from the addition of either molasses or palm sugar when brewed.
