Baked chicken wings with peachy barbecue sauce
This chicken wings recipe is finger-lickin' good! Sweet peaches and smoky barbecue sauce create the perfect sticky marinade that takes humble wings to a whole new level. Serve with a cold beer and enjoy!

- 3 large ripe peaches, peeled, coarsely chopped
- 1/4 cup store-bought barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoon peach or apricot jam
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 kilogram chicken wings
- salt and pepper, to taste

In blender or food processor, place chopped peaches, barbecue sauce, vinegar, jam and cayenne pepper. Process until smooth. Reserve ½ cup of sauce for serving.

Season wings with salt and pepper. Place in a large bowl or resealable plastic bag with remaining sauce and mix to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 210°C. Arrange wings on a roasting tray in a single layer and bake, turning once or twice, for 25 minutes or until rich golden brown and cooked. Serve with the reserved peachy sauce.

To peel peaches, cut a cross in the stalk end. Plunge into a pot of boiling water for 1 minute, then plunge into iced water. The skins should slip off. Use the sauce to bake drumsticks or boneless chicken breast, or use to glaze a pork fillet for roasting.
