Spaghetti with meatballs & cherry tomatoes


Dish up this classic kids' favourite for dinner and watch them devour it. Spaghetti and meatballs is well loved for good reason.


Spaghetti with meatballs & cherry tomatoes

  • 750 g beef sausages
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 400 g bottled tomato pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh basil
  • 375 g spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup (40g) finely grated parmesan


Spaghetti with meatballs & cherry tomatoes

  1. Squeeze meat from sausages; roll meat into balls.
  2. Cook meatballs in an oiled large frying pan over medium heat until browned all over. Add tomatoes, sauce and half the basil; bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. Season to taste.
  3. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling water until tender; drain.
  4. Combine sauce mixture, spaghetti and half the parmesan in a large bowl. Serve sprinkled with remaining parmesan and remaining basil.
