Method
1.Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil. Add pasta. Boil 9-10 minutes, or until tender. Drain; return to pan.
2.Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frying pan over moderate heat. Add garlic, onion and bacon. Cook, stirring, 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Add asparagus. Cook, stirring, 2 minutes, or until just tender. Add zucchini. Cook 1 minute, or until tender.
3.Add cream to pan. Simmer 2 minutes, or until thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper. Add sauce and half the parmesan to pasta; toss to combine. Spoon into shallow serving bowls. Top with remaining parmesan. Serve sprinkled with chives.
Use a vegetable peeler to slice zucchini lengthwise into ribbons.
